Fertilizer & Pre-Emergent 5-Application Program

  • The first application contains liquid fertilizer, broadleaf herbicide and pre-emergent.  The fertilizer is a high quality, balanced product, specially formulated for North Central Washington turf.  Our pre-emergents control a variety of annual weeds, including dandelions.  The herbicide is added once the temperature has reached 45 degrees or above and weather permitting.  The pre-emergent is designed to control crabgrass, foxtail, etc.
  • The second application includes a balanced fertilizer and broadleaf herbicide applied at this time.  Remember, we can only control those broadleaf weeds showing at the time of application.
  • The third application consists of a fertilizer to sustain your lawn through the high stress of summer heat.  Weeds are much more difficult to control at this time and a broadleaf herbicide is only used until temperatures reach 80 degrees.  (Due to damage that herbicide may cause during extreme heat it is not used above 80 degrees.)
  • The fourth application contains fertilizer to prepare your lawn for early fall.  Herbicide is applied for increased control of weeds, weather permitting.
  • The fifth application is a specially formulated fertilizer with other essential nutrients put down to prevent winter stress and promote healthy root development.  It also includes the pre-emergent to help with crabgrass control.  Also, your lawn will green up quicker in the spring.
